Who are the Pink Granite Pedalers? A group of volunteers and participants enabling accessible cycling on the Holliston Rail Trail for individuals who require specialized adaptive cycles to in order explore our beloved trail on wheels. This is a program conducted by the Friends of Holliston Trails working along with All Out Adventures (AoA) of Northampton MA. On October 24, All Out Adventures, a nonprofit specialized in adaptive recreation programs, will bring a variety of adaptive cycles to Blair Square in Holliston and provide skilled staff to outfit registered riders. Seniors, adults and kids with mobility differences are encouraged to register. Upon registration for a one-hour ride, AoA will determine the unique requirements of each rider and reserve the appropriate bike for our event date. Holliston volunteers are positioned along the trail and also ride along the trail with adaptive cycle riders to ensure a safe and positive experience. This is the 2nd year of Pink Granite Pedalers rides in Holliston, and the feedback has been outstanding, with growing participation each ride each year. This adaptive bike program runs throughout the summer and fall months and makes the Holliston Rail Trail available to many more riders who are thrilled to be out in nature along the 3-mile course. Pink Granite Pedalers is free to participants, but registration is required. Check https://www.hollistontrails.org/pink-granite-pedalers for more registration information.
