Rosh Hashanah Family Service and Kids’ Program, Saturday, September 12
Family Service, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Children’s Activities, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
This will include separate family services for families with young children and families with older children, as well as games, activities, and snacks for the kids. Usually, you have to be a member to attend on Rosh Hashanah, but family programs will be open to anyone who is interested.
Rosh Hashanah by the Lake: A New Year Gathering for All Ages, Sunday, September 13
4-5:30 p.m., Stoddard Park
This event will include:
• Rosh Hashanah Games and Fun for Kids
• Rosh Hashanah Treats
• Shofar Blowing
Followed by Tashlich (a ritual to reflect, release, and start the new year fresh) at 5 p.m.
Yom Kippur Family Service and Kids’ Program, Monday, September 21
Family Service, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Children’s Activities, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
This will include separate family services for families with young children and families with older children, as well as games, activities, and snacks for the kids. Usually, you have to be a member to attend on Yom Kippur, but family programs will be open to anyone who is interested.
Simchat Torah Celebration and Bagel Brunch for All Ages, Sunday, October 4
9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
This will include an interactive celebration of the Simchat Torah holiday, with singing, dancing, discussion, and edible Torah making, followed by a bagel brunch.
We ask that if people would like to attend an event they RSVP by emailing [email protected], so we know how many people to expect. However, if they forget to RSVP or decide to come at the last minute, they are still welcome! In addition, the Temple Beth Torah Morris Nirenberg Religious School begins on Sunday, September 27. Opening day will include a special lulav making program for the Sukkot holiday, outdoors in our sukkah. Families must register and pay for religious school. Our monthly Torah Tots program for toddlers and preschoolers will begin on Sunday, October 4. Families must sign up and pay for Torah Tots classes.
