Following are some highlighted programs coming up:

Good as New Garage Sale is Coming, Saturday, September 12, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

All proceeds benefit The Center’s programs, classes and events.

Volunteers are needed! Help is also needed on donation days August, Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 for set up, staffing sales areas, food preparation and service. Please email Sheila: [email protected].

Monthly Breakfast: Tuesday, Sept. 22 & Tuesday, Oct. 20, 9 a.m., $5, veterans eat free, advanced registration required, 508-429-0622.

Writers Group, First Tuesday of Month, 10 a.m.: Join us for a gathering to practice writing skills and connect with others through written words

Friday, September 25, 11 a.m., Creating a Serenity Garden: Join Therapy Gardens to make a small serenity garden to take home. It’s simple, creative, and fun! 

Friday, October 30, 11 a.m., Medicare’s GUIDE Program & Resources: Melinda Morle will present the Medicare GUIDE Program, a dementia care model offering assistance and respite benefits. Group discussion and resource sharing to follow.


Durable Medical Equipment Loans: The Center loans durable medical equipment by appointment ONLY. All equipment MUST be cleaned &sanitized prior to returning.

The Center accepts donated equipment in CLEAN, LIKE-NEW condition. Please call first!


Health & Wellness Fair, Tuesday, October 6, 4-6 p.m.

What’s Your Story and Why Telling It Matters, Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1:30 p.m.

Knowing your story, and being confident in telling it, will allow you to pave your own yellow brick road. 50+ Job Seekers career counselor George Armstrong will help you tap into your history and express your skills, accomplishments, values and mindset to influence your audience. Emergency Planning Presentation, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1:30 p.m.

Attorney Amy N. Azza will instruct how to create an emergency medical folder, what to include in them, and how to draft all the documents. Each attendee will receive their own emergency medical folder to bring home. A FREE lunch will be provided. Register at 508-429-0622.


Go Solar Presentaiton, Thursday, Oct. 15, 12 p.m.

“Join or Die” Documentary, Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1:30 p.m.

Award-winning documentary that explores the importance of joining a club’s significance for the future of America. Documentary chronicles the half-century decline of U.S. civic through the lens of renowned social scientist Robert Putnam.
