September brings back-to-school, cooler temperatures, and the Holliston Historical Society’s Harvest Fair, 547 Washington St., Holliston! Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

There will be something for everyone. Adults will enjoy perusing crafts from more than 60 vendors, a silent auction, and the treasure shop. The Kids Korner will offer activities for children all day, all for free!  Everyone will want to say hello to the cute alpacas. The Asa Whiting House will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with displays curated by Collections Committee members. Local musical group, LMK Band, will play new and classic rock and roll tunes from 12 to 3 p.m. Visit the barn when you are ready for lunch and save room for dessert—a slice of apple pie or warm apple crisp with ice cream, perhaps. Or take home an apple pie or another goodie—all made by members—from our bake table.

Crafters will be selling handmade items such as knitted caps and hats, clothing from recycled fibers, quilted items, painted designs in wood, photography, face and body painting, handcrafted ceramics, soaps, candles, faux silk wreaths, dog treats, an assortment of jewelry made with a variety of materials, 3D printed items, and designs made from sea glass. Food vendors include fried dough, lemonade, baked goods, and candy.

There is no admission fee to attend the Harvest Fair, so bring your family and friends and enjoy a fall tradition in Holliston!

The Holliston Historical Society is a non-profit group whose mission is to preserve Holliston’s history and share it with our community. All are welcome!  Visit our website at hollistonhistoricalsociety.org for more information.
