The town of Holliston wrapped up its “Holliston Celebrates America 250: A series of local events celebrating the 250th signing of the Declaration of Independence” with a concert by the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, August 15, 2026, a beautiful night for an outdoor concert. About 250 members of the community came out to Blair Square, complete with their lawn chairs, to hear a mix that included everything from showtune medleys to a combination of Abraham Lincoln’s writings set to the compositions of Aaron Copland, with the professional orchestra conducted by Paul Surapine.

Holliston’s celebration of the nation’s 250th was sponsored by the two veterans’ organizations, Holliston VFW Post 8507 and Holliston American Legion Post 47, the Town of Holliston, Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors, Celebrate Holliston, and Ahronian Landscaping.
