Town celebration of US’ 250th simple, poignant
On the sweltering hot, muggy day of July 4, 2026, dozens of Hollistonians turned out to recognize our nation’s 250th year with a recitation of The Declaration of Independence by town figures of note, who took turns reading portions of the document. With just a bit of period costume, a color guard, and a finish of Taps, attendees were able to focus on the words and the intent of our founding fathers, some remarking on the timelessness of the writ’s wording.
