Jessica Ommen is seeking a seat on the School Committee with a platform focused on transparency, amplifying community voice, thoughtful planning, and strong collaboration. The longtime Holliston resident and active volunteer brings extensive experience in communications and community engagement. Ommen serves as Director of Communications for the PTO and as Communications/PR Director for the Holliston Music & Arts Parent Association. She is also a board member of the Holliston Cultural Council and has contributed to local governance through her role on the Policy Advisory Committee.

Ommen has additionally served as a parent representative for SEPAC during the Miller Assistant Principal search, helping interview candidates with a focus on special education and social-emotional learning. Prior to her volunteer work, she was a Project Manager pursuing her PMP certification, experience she says informs her structured and strategic approach to problem-solving.

She says these combined roles have prepared her to promote open dialogue, informed decision-making, and inclusive leadership—qualities she believes are especially important as Holliston enters the MSBA process. While she views the possibility of a new high school as both exciting and overdue, Ommen emphasizes that any project must move forward with transparency, collaboration, and careful planning to ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of the entire community.
