George Vrahliotis, owner of Hiller’s Cleaners, prioritizes customer service in his dry cleaning business. 

“Quality and service always come first,” George said.

His eye for detail and expertise in the industry started at a young age. Before opening his first Hiller’s Cleaners location in Hopkinton, George grew up working at his father’s dry cleaning business in Brookline. His father specialized in custom tailoring, and his mother was a seamstress.

“I’ve got dry cleaning in my blood,” he said.

George opened his first location on Main Street in Hopkinton in 2001. He now is expanding the business, having leased a new space at 402 Washington Street in Holliston. The new Hiller’s Cleaners takes the place of the former Colonial Cleaning Center.

George learned about the vacancy on Washington Street from a customer last year. After securing the lease, he spent several months renovating the space and held a soft launch at the end of March. He noted that the business was fully open as of April.

Renovations to the establishment include fixes to the lobby and back areas, new flooring and counters and a brand new computer system. The improvements allow George to operate an environmentally-friendly, full-service business. Services offered in Holliston include cleaning, tailoring and alterations, stain removal and shoe repair.

“We pay attention to detail,” George said. He added that he does his best to meet every customer’s needs, not refusing any request. His services have a quick turnaround, too; he noted that most items are cleaned and ready for pickup within a day or two.

“If somebody has a rush, we can take care of that request,” he said.

George said pricing for dry cleaning services offered at Hiller’s Cleaners is competitive, noting that he doesn’t want the business to be known as a low-cost provider.

“I like people to say they come to Hiller’s Cleaners because the service is great,” he explained.

George said that since opening in Holliston, the community already has given him a positive reception. “People have been welcoming so far,” he said. He added that many people who have come in that were patrons of the former business couldn’t believe the differences in the space after he finished renovating it.

As business expands at his new Holliston location, George is excited about the challenge that comes with it. He also expressed confidence in his ability to provide quality dry cleaning services to the community.

“This is what I do best,” said George.
