Two June Events at the Holliston Historical Society
A scene from last year’s Car Show at the Holliston Historical Society
22nd ANNUAL FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST CAR SHOW on June 15 from 8-10 AM
If you like cars and a good breakfast, be sure to visit the Holliston Historical Society’s 22nd Annual Father’s Day Breakfast Car show, June 15, 2025 between 8:00AM and 10:00AM! The show is only two hours long, just enough time to show and see all the cars and have a full home-cooked breakfast by the Historical Society volunteers.
The grounds at 547 Washington Street will be covered by more than 125 collector cars from the earliest brass-era vintages to the latest exotic supercars. Unlike most car shows that take up the whole day, this show is ideal for Dads who want to get out and drive their ride, have breakfast with family and other car lovers and be home to celebrate the rest of their day. But you don’t have to be a Dad with a cool ride to attend.
Free to all cars and motorcycles of interest. Trophies will be awarded by our 23 sponsors.
Full breakfast & snacks available. Proceeds benefit the Holliston Historical Society.
HOLLISTON AND THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION on Sunday, June 29th at 2 PM
Joanne Hulbert and Terri Chamberlain will present a program on Holliston and the American Revolution on Sunday, June 29th at 2:00 PM. You may have seen some of the events this year to commemorate the start of the Revolutionary War and wondered what was happening in Holliston 250 years ago. The presentation will include a section, “What Did They Wear on April 19, 1775” with a demonstration of men’s militia clothing and women’s clothing.

Aaron Pike (1764-1850) Served in Capt. Chamberlain’s Company in Rhode Island in 1780 and 1781. He was the last of the Revolutionary veterans of Holliston.
Truth will be told that Holliston was not surprised by the news coming to them by way of a relay rider on the morning of April 19, 1775. The British Regulars were not coming to Holliston, this seemingly quiet corner of Middlesex County, but three companies of minutemen quickly gathered. Two marched to Cambridge and one set out for Roxbury at Boston Neck. Join us at the Holliston Historical Society on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2 PM, and learn what the townspeople of Holliston did to support the war effort. Find out how Holliston had been preparing for the American Revolution many years before 1775, as gunpowder, cannons and muskets were being stockpiled in 1773, how the townspeople were kept informed with news from Boston, and how the people of Holliston dealt with embargos, the boycott of tea and British goods, and Tories! The American Revolution did not start in Holliston, but Holliston’s citizens surely helped!
Both events will be held at the Holliston Historical Society, 547 Washington Street. The Holliston Historical Society is a non-profit group whose mission is to preserve Holliston’s history and share it with our community. Programs are open to the public and are generally followed by a social hour and refreshments. We hope you will see something of interest and join us!
