Washington Street Players Will Perform Comedy “The Porch“

Holliston’s Washington Street Players will be performing a comedy called “The Porch” by local playwright, Jack Neary.
The Porch is an endearing, hysterical and heartbreaking play set in a mill town in Massachusetts. It explores the friendship between three older women and their relationships with their husbands.
The three ladies hilariously parse topics of sex, impotency and death and comfort each other after discovering one of them has a long held secret.

The show will be directed by Holliston resident, Karen Dinehart and produced by James Parr. Because so many community theaters have had to cancel shows due to Covid, it was decided to have two separate casts for this show that can cover for each other if need be.  Cast one will perform the first and third weekends and cast two will perform the middle weekend.
The show takes place on the front porch of Alma’s house, and Nancy Stevenson and Rich Greaves have put together a beautiful and realistic set.

Cast members include: Laura Steele, Cindy Bell, Carolyn Mitchell, Steve Lillis, Julien Lafleur, Johanna Wald, Beth Morrell, Dan Jewett and James Parr.
This show does contain occasional strong language and mature subject matter, so not recommended for kids.
WSP will be spotlighting and encouraging donations for The Holliston Senior Center for this show.
8pm at Town Hall. April 28, 29, May 5,6,12,13
