Holliston High School Principal Reflects On Upcoming School Year

By Caroline Gordon

Holliston High School Principal Nicole Bottomley shared her thoughts on the upcoming school year.

She said she is most excited about watching students grow their leadership skills to improve the community.

In order to ensure students are growing as leaders and enhancing the community, she said administrators are in “constant contact” throughout the summer  to collaborate on how to improve the school systems.

She explained that over the summer, teachers work together on various projects that will help connect the faculty and parents.

Bottomley touched on COVID-19 noting she hopes that students and faculty will experience a school year without the need for COVID restrictions but if that isn’t the case, the “amazing” nurses at all of the schools will navigate the “ever changing” COVID needs and will also communicate with families and educators.

“We have the opportunity to reset and start anew each and every year. We bring forward the aspects of the school year that worked well from the previous year and reimagine those that did not. It is truly a gift that we have the opportunity to start fresh every single year,” she said.
